He is the founder of Liver Transplantation and Hepatobiliary Sciences in Fortis group of Hospitals. He has over 17 years of experience and has performed many exemplary medical procedures that stem from advanced surgical skills covering the entire range of gastrointestinal surgeries.
Dr. Vij and his team are highly experienced in liver transplantation having performed more than 2,500 liver transplants as well as achieving the lowest rate of biliary complications (<6%) in living donor liver transplantation (LDLT) worldwide.
His expertise includes adult and paediatric liver transplant, complex liver surgeries, advanced pancreatic and bile duct surgeries, laparoscopic surgeries and advanced robotic surgeries.
